We finished chemotherapy on Tuesday, it was an emotional rollercoaster. Nice to have the treatments behind us, but also somewhat of a reality check. I feel much like I did back in December, very unsure of what to expect next. We are waiting to hear back on appointments for Liam’s CT and bone scan, these will happen sometime in the next three weeks, and many more times over the next five years.
Last night at Walgreen’s while in the greeting card section, I noticed an encouragement card for dealing with cancer, the gist of it was cancer stinks, kick it in the ass. That’s kind of how I’m feeling these days, so on that note… two more fund raisers happening next week to support cancer research. Thanks to Wayne and Marybeth for organizing these.

Liam’s birthday is tomorrow, and we are heading to the cape to celebrate, keeping it quiet for now, but planning a big party in July. Hopefully by then we’ll have good news to report from the latest round of tests!

Sometime I look at Liam and I can't believe all that he has been though in his amazing little life, and what a happy kid (baby) he is!!! So today was a record setting quick appointment... in and out of Boston, home by noon. Auntie Minnie came with me and Liam, I think too she was amazed at how quick the process can be once you have the routine down. We spent just about the rest of the day outside, and now are coaxing the kids on who to root for in the Yankees / Red Sox game!

Quick appointment yesterday after a very busy weekend. We had a great mother's day weekend; combined it with a trip to Connecticut, and Jack's 3rd birthday!!! Still celebrating with the last of the cake last night!
So Bridgett and Nana made the trip to Boston yesterday. Liam did well, and we are on target to have his last treatment on Tuesday May 29th. Still lots to happen after that, but it's another big milestone for us. Liam seems to be doing well in terms of where he should be developmentally in spite of the chemotherapy, and we'll be celebrating his 1st birthday June 1st. We are thinking of having a winter party theme to make up for some missed celebrations this past Christmas, hopefully Poppa won't mind wearing the Santa Suit in 80 degree weather!!!
