A number of "Firsts"

Well here it is, my "first" official post, just in time to recap some other firsts firsts around here. I will start it off with a good one. So tonight Meg is outside with the kids, on the phone... after finishing a call, she of course lets Troy play with the phone while chasing the other kids around. Well doesn't the phone start ringing about 45 seconds later... figuring it just Troy playing with the ringer, Meg doesn't pick it up. I figured it was telemarketing until I hear the voice on the answering machine.... oh yes it was the Mansfield Police Department, saying that a 911 call was just made to them from the house. So Mr. Troy who is two days shy of his first birthday managed to call 911....... We figured it will be the first of many trips from Mansfield's finest to our house!

and other news...
Last weekend was probably our last trip to the cape for the season but it was a great one. The boys spent a lot of time at the beach. Liam really has been enjoying the water and is saying more and more words. I cannot believe how much his hair has grown. As you know, he had a good scan two weeks ago, and we now have a date scheduled to have his port removed (September 11th). I have some mixed feelings about this... the port has been a part of his life for the past 21 months ... but at the same time removing it is a good sign.

Sunday, we celebrated Troy's 1st birthday. Uncle Billy and Auntie Amy hosted a pool party at their house for Troy. It was a great day, the kids had a blast, Troy let everyone help with the present opening..

...and as August winds down, it means the start of school again; for us it's our little Owen who will be starting kindergarten. He'll be going all day and on the Big Yellow Bus..........and YES we will be following the bus all the way to school his first day! He is actually excited about taking the bus and has an open house and orientation coming up soon. Jack will be going to his "new school" and he can't wait to start (three days a week at Roland Green). Liam will continue to go to "group" once a week, and have Liz come in for speech.

Well I think that is about all for now, enjoy the pictures and the mini movie...stay tuned for Troy's one year weigh-in.

Being the mother of "Jack, the Newbie Police Officer" I can guarantee the police enjoyed that call.

Nice post Bridget. Congrats. I knew you could do it. Didn't you work in IT for a while?

The boys are all so handsome. I am going to stop by someday and hopefully you will all be in the yard playing... Liam looks fantastic! Take care. Patty
